Gorilla safari in Rwanda 4 Day involves a cultural tour in Kigali city – Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site; and gorilla trekking expedition in Volcanoes National Park. The safari starts and ends in Kigali.,

Program

Day 1: Arrival Kigali Transfer to Ruhengeri Pick-up Upon your arrival, at the Kigali Airport, and drive to Volcanoes National Park after you have had your lunch. The journey to the North goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that display Rwanda’s landscape. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/ La Palme Hotel/ Kinigi Guest House

DAY 2: Gorilla trekking day in parc national des Volcanoes PNV After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters of Parc National des Volcans ( PNV). There you will be briefed by the ranger guides after this short briefing together with your packed lunch you will then start the gorilla trekking. Hiking and tracking gorillas may take 1-8 hours. In the afternoon you may have an optional ibyiwacu community walk OR a relaxation at the lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/La Palme Hotel/Kinigi Guest House

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest. After breakfast, you will then drive to Kigali and later head to the Nyungwe Forest National Park, vai the reconstructed King’s Palace at Nyanza, Butare Museums and Murambi Memoral. You will have a lunch stopover at Butare and later proceed to Nyungwe National Park. Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura Guest House

Day 4: Morning chimpanzee tacking: – After transfer back to Kigali After breakfast, drive to Nyungwe Forest for a morning chimpanzee trekking experience. You will also track the colobus monkeys in the forest and this is also a good time for the bird watchers to do their bird watching and Transfer to Kigali Airport to find your departure flight.
