Day 2: Gorilla trekking After breakfast, go for a Gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans, through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga range, is a magical experience. Once you reach the gorillas, you can spend an hour with them Some gorilla families can be more difficult to find, and tracking can take a full day, especially if it is wet and muddy.you will drive back to Kigali for a city tour On reaching Kigali, visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial site, the handicrafts shops, etc. Later our tour guide will transfer you to Kigali airport for you scheduled flight. Day 3: Visit the Batwa (Pygmies) A traditional dance will be organized for you on this day by the Batwa (Pygmies). Visit the local brick makers. There is much to explore here including tracking the endangered golden monkey or trekking to Dian Fossey’s grave and the gorilla cemetery, the final resting place of her favourite gorilla, Digit. Other popular excursions include visiting the local school and community projects Alternatively relax on the shores of Lake Kivu, , or take a guided walk to Lake Bulera and experience local village life .Overnight stay at Mt Gorilla View Lodge / Chimp Nest Lodge Day 3: Visit the twin Lakes – Ruhondo & Burera Enjoy your morning breakfast and later transfer to the twin lakes, Ruhondo and Bulera. Interact with the fishermen, if you are interested in activity; go fishing in the local canoes. Later visit the traditional witch doctor called the “Snake man”. Proceed to the convent “Foyer de Charité” Day 4: Transfer to Lake Kivu This morning after break fast drive to lake kivu, with en route lunch at Hotel Bethanie. Relax at the sandy beach on Lake Kivu home to some of the finest inland beaches in Africa or just undertake a boat cruise to the coffee island. Overnight stay at Lake Kivu Serena /Paladis Malahide Day 5: Transfer to the King’s Palace in Nyanza After attending a traditional dance by the Batwa community, proceed to Nyanza, the historical seat of the ancient Rwandan kings . Proceed to the Rwanda’s cultural centre – Butare, and the National Museum. Overnight stay at Nyungwe Safari Lodge Day 6: Transfer back to Kigali After breakfast, you will drive back to Kigali for a city tour On reaching Kigali, visit the Mirambi genocide memorial site, the handicrafts shops, etc. Later our tour guide will transfer you to Kigali airport for you scheduled flight.
