Upon arrival at Kigali Airport , you will be met, greeted by our representative who is your safari driver/guide. He will transfer you to the Hotel for O/N Hotel Des mille Collines

Day 2:Kigali Sightseening tour

Today you will go for a sightseening tour of Kigali either on yur own or accompanied by your safari driverguide. Here you may visit the Genocide memorial site, local Markets, shops etc O/N Hotel des Mille Collines

Day 4: Rwanda Gorilla trekking day (PNV)

To day after breakfast and with our packed Lunch boxes, you will be driven to Parc National des Volcans (PNV) offices where after being briefed you willl start off the adventure with trackers. Trekking gorllas may takes 1hr – 8hrs depending on the movements of these Gaint gental primates. if you return early from the trek, you may choose to rest or go for a tour of lake Burela and ruhondo for great scenery.O/N at Gorill aview Lodge or Hotel la Palma

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Crossing Border at Chanika into Kisoro -Uganda

This morning after breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi crossing border at Chanika into Kisoro – Uganda, then proceed on the meandering road to Kabale at the edge of Lake Bunyonyi; this place offers a very relaxing environment with beautiful scenery. After lunch proceed with the drive for another 3 – 4 hours depending on road condition to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park is a worlds heritage site and is accessed through fopur points depending on which group to trek. The access points are either through Kisoro thus Nkuringo gorilla group; Rubuguri – Shongi & Mishaya gorilla groups; Ruhijja – Bitukura & Orozogo gorilla groups; Buhoma which is the most popular and oldest with 3 gorilla families of Mubare, Habinyanja & Rushegura. After an early morning breakfast, your driver will help organize your packed lunch boxes then
drive/escort you to the park offices. Here you may be joined by other tourists to receive a briefing from the park warden or head ranger on the dos and don’ts during gorilla trekking before you begin your adventure. Each gorilla family is visited by a maximum group of eight (8) tourists a day so you may be joined by other people on the trek. Your driver guide will help arrange for porter services (at least one porter per person, Client pays direct) to help with your packed lunches and bags for cameras, water etc. You will then begin your adventure into the gorilla sanctuary. The time taken and the terrain vary (1- 8 hours) according to the movement of these gentle giants. Gorilla trekking takes between less than an hour to 7hours before encounter depending on the terrain. However, the thrill of meeting face to face takes away the pain of some times long and arduous trek. You are then allowed one hour with the gorillas before trekking back.

This day you drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha Sector) check out and drive to Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will enter with a game drive in search of tree climbing lions. The section is well known for tree climbing lions, and also has Topis’ which are not found in the other sections of this park. The Edward flats offer a nice view and the area is known for thousands of elephants too. If lucky, you may also see a python when at hunt. You will later check in at your accommodation for freshing up, dinner and Overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp. BLD Queen Elizabeth National Park covers about 2,000 square kilometers and spreads along the eastern shore of Lake Edward. This is Uganda’s second largest park and is located at the base of the ajestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has prolific game, including Uganda Kob, Giant Forest Warthog, forest pigs, duikers, Waterbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Jackals, warthogs, huge numbers of Hippo and Elephant among others.

Day 8: Go for yet another game drive and proceed out to towards the main section of QENP

This morning after breakfast and with picnic lunch boxes, you will go for yet another game drive and proceed out to towards the main section of QENP. You can then head to Kyambura gorge for a chimpanzee tracking walk in the gorge / go for a nature walk in Maramagambo forest before you later drive to your accommodation. Mweya Safari Lodge is strategically located on a peninsular surrounded by Kazinga Channel a water body joining Lake George and Lake Edward which makes the Lodge an ideal start point for all activities; Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge N.B: Neither Kyambura $50pp nor Maramagambo $25pp is included in the given quote as I just conceived the idea and not sure if you like it. If you do not like either of the two options then you can still go for a game drive instead. Please advance notice will be much appreciated.

Today morning we will enjoy a game drive in the park. This may include a drive to the magnificent plains of Kasenyi, crater Lakes valleys, and the channel drive. Here we may spot early risers such as lion and Leopard as they return to their dens from morning hunt. In the afternoon, go for an exciting launch/boat cruise of about 2hours on Kazinga Channel. The channel is a home to countless hippos, as well as baboons and abundant bird life. The launch boat offers a good bird viewing spot (Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best birding parks in Africa with “560” + recorded bird species and recorded “296” bird species seen in a 24 hour period). You may also watch game including the hippopotamus, Elephants, etc. The Channel is believed to have the largest concentration of world’s hippopotamus. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge BLD

Day 10: Transfer to Kampala:

Today morning you may either go for another game drive or opt to have a relaxed morning, have breakfast then check out and drive out for Kampala. The drive takes you through Kasese the length of the Rwenzori ranges to Fort Portal and then the drive will now go through beautiful tea lantations and into Kibale tropical rain forest area to Kagadi, Mubende and finally Kampala. OR you may use the Mbarara, Masaka route.

Day 11: Ngamba Island:

This day after breakfast, you will be driven through Kampala for a brief sightseeing tour before you are transferred to Entebbe. You will stop by the Jane Goodall offices for document verification and payments ($400) before slope down the pier where you will catch the 13:00 speed boat to Ngamba Island. Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is situated 23kms on Lake Victoria. It is where the orphaned, confiscated and traumatized chimpanzees have been found a home to help them recover from the entire trauma that they might have gone through. Here you will come close to the several chimpanzees. You will be guided around and allowed to watch the supplemented feeding. Overnight at Ngamba Island Tented Camp BLD

Day 12: Ngamba Forest Walk

Departure day: If you qualified for the Chimpanzee Integration program, early this morning you will accompany the caretaker to walk the Chimpanzee into the forest. Upon return you will have breakfast and take a boat that returns to the main land by 13:00 OR 17:00 if you have a late night flight. You are then transferred to the airport for your flight connections. BL
